Terms of service

These terms govern use of the FlowChat marketing site (flowchat.com) and the FlowChat product (app.flowchat.com, chat.flowchat.com, widget.flowchat.com). By signing up or embedding the widget, you accept them.

Acceptable use

You must own the content you crawl, or have written authorisation from the owner. You must not use FlowChat to ingest content that the origin's robots.txt or Content Signals declaration forbids for AI-search purposes — we enforce this server-side, but the principle is yours to uphold first. You must not use the chat surface to surface harmful, illegal, or harassment content.

Fair use

Plans include a per-tier query and storage allocation. Overage above plan is billed at $0.005/query (default routing). Sustained use above 10x your plan’s headline volume requires a custom tier; we’ll reach out before enforcement.

Customer obligations

  • Keep your widget API keys confidential. We provide instant revocation.
  • Notify us of any compromised key within 24 hours.
  • Comply with the privacy laws applicable to your end users.
  • Maintain a current billing method while the account is active.

Fees and refunds

Fees accrue monthly in advance. Annual plans are pre-paid. Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase, prorated on plan change, and not available on the Enterprise tier without a specific contract clause.

Termination

Either party may terminate for convenience with 30 days’ notice. On termination, the corpus is purged within 30 days unless an Enterprise contract specifies a longer audit-retention window. Existing Enterprise customers can request data export in JSONL + the original R2 bucket layout.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlowChat is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Enterprise contracts may negotiate higher caps.

Service availability

We target 99.9% uptime measured monthly. Enterprise contracts define specific SLAs with credit remedies. The current operational state is on /status.

Changes

We’ll email substantive changes 30 days in advance. Continued use after the change-effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there.
